The stars are shining bright on Opening Night of the 49th Chicago International Film Festival at the Chicago Theatre, Chicago's legendary landmark theater.
For one night only, the Chicago International Film Festival recaptures the glory of one of America's fist, lavish movie palaces with state of the art film projection and red carpet arrivals. Join us as we celebrate the glamour of going to the movies and the opening of the Festival!
On Opening Night we will be presenting the Chicago premiere of James Gray's THE IMMIGRANT, starring Academy Award-winning actress Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix and Jeremy Renner. Director/producer/writer James Gray will be in attendance.

Tickets purchased before Friday, October 4 will be mailed. Tickets purchased after this date may be picked up at Will Call at the Chicago Theatre. Film-only Balcony tickets are $25 for Festival members and $30 for non-members; Film-only main floor tickets are $30 for Festival members and $35 for non-members.
