How to Redeem Your Pass

If you purchase your pass online or by phone by September 15, your pass will be mailed out. You must redeem your Pass, in person, for actual film tickets before you will be admitted to a theater.

We STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you to make your film selections in advance. In 2009, 72% of Festival films were sold out!

To ensure you get tickets to the films you want to see:

1. Go through the Festival Schedule and make a list of your film selections.

2. Pick up your pre-ordered pass (if you haven't already received it by mail) or buy a pass at the Festival Box Office.

3. Give your pass and your list of films to a Ticketing Agent and exchange for hard tickets. Your pass will be punched for each film ticket that is redeemed.

The Festival Box Offices are located at: Cinema/Chicago offices and the AMC River East 21 at the addresses listed below. Please visit our FAQ page for additional ticketing information.

Rush Ticket Policy 2010

Tickets for a sold out film might become available at the film's screen time if there are any empty seats in the theatre. These are called RUSH TICKETS and they are available only at the box office where the film is screening. If you wish to wait for a RUSH TICKET to a sold-out film:

  • Obtain a numbered Rush Card from the box office no earlier than one hour before the film's start. (box offices open one hour before the first screening of the day). Rush Cards are cards with your number in line printed on them. There is a limit of TWO rush cards per person.
  • If any seats become available, we will call the numbers out at the box office.
  • If your number is called you will have the opportunity to buy ONE (1) ticket.
  • You must be present at the time your number is called in order to buy a RUSH TICKET.
  • Getting a numbered card does NOT guarantee you a seat!
  • Because seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis, Rush Tickets are always the least desirable seats and the two seats available may not be next to each other.

This policy is subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Box Office Manager.

If your screening is sold out and you cannot get a rush ticket, take a chance on another film. We work hard to bring you films you may never get another chance to see on the big screen. Make it an adventure and explore the celluloid jungle.
