Synopsis:
Touted as the first Shakespeare adaptation to deal with contemporary African American issues, H4 re-imagines Henry IV Part I and Part II in the context of modern-day Los Angeles, performed by a top-notch cast of black actors led by Harry Lennix (Man of Steel). As Henry’s unreliable son Hal comes of age, events compel him to increase power and responsibility as he becomes the face of a new nation and prepares to succeed his father.

Biography

PAUL QUINN wrote, directed and produced his first feature, This is My Father, starring James Caan, (brother) Aidan Quinn, Stephen Rae and John Cusack. An official selection of the Toronto International and Sundance Film Festivals, the drama was selected as one of the top independent movies of 1999 by the National Board of Review. Sony Picture Classics distributed the film. Paul directed and produced his second feature, Never Get Outta the Boat, a drama set in a Los Angeles halfway house for recovering addicts. The film premiered at the 2002 Toronto Film Festival, and was released by Sony/ Columbia on DVD. He was commissioned by HBO to write a television pilot and several episodes based on the film.
