Synopsis:
After a tragedy throws his life into turmoil, the self-absorbed young Beto ventures deep into the Brazilian countryside in search of a collection of rare prints his absent father had sold to a wealthy plantation owner decades earlier. When he locates the plantation, he finds it devastated and its inhabitants staunchly resistant to visitors. A sophisticated, engrossing thriller, the film follows Beto’s efforts to uncover the mystery of the prints and the family keeping them hidden from the world.

Bernard Attal

Biography

Bernard Attal was born in France and has been living in Brazil since 2005. He directed three short films (29 Inches, Rat Island, and A Bike Ride) and a documentary for the Brazilian Public TV, The Magnificent. All of these films participated and won awards in festivals throughout the world, including Palm Springs, London-BFI and Clermont-Ferrand. The Invisible Collection is Bernard's first feature film. Bernard studied filmmaking at the New School in New York City.
