We’re excited to announce the full schedule for Industry Days 2020, being held virtually for the first time!

This year’s Industry Keynote conversation will feature Academy Award®-winning producer and president of Plan B Entertainment Dede Gardner, whose credits include 12 Years a Slave and Moonlight, both presented at past editions of the Festival.

Additionally, Industry Days will host master classes with Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter John Logan (Skyfall, Penny Dreadful, Hugo) and six-time Grammy-winner and Oscar-nominated trumpeter/ composer Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Da 5 Bloods, One Night in Miami), along with a one-on-one conversation with trailblazing producer and CEO of Gamechanger Films Effie Brown (Dear White People).[…]

On July 14, the Chicago International Film Festival’s Industry Days and the Chicago Film Office hosted the virtual panel discussion “Did You Hear That?” with Chicago-based sound professionals to discuss their strategies, methods, and creative impulses in combining sound with image as well as the challenges and strategies for working under Covid-19 conditions.
