Remembering Victor Skrebneski

We are saddened by the passing of legendary photographer Victor Skrebneski. Victor‘s iconic black and white poster images shot for the Chicago International Film Festival captured such Festival honorees as Orson Welles, Faye Dunaway, Sharon Stone, Steven Spielberg, and more.

“Victor has been a friend and supporter of the Festival from the very beginning,” said Festival Founder Michael Kutza. “Since that day, back in 1965, when I asked him to spice things up for our Festival poster, he has delivered some of the most iconic and memorable images the city has seen.

The Truth Screening Cancelled

Dear Chicago International Film Festival Community,

The health and safety of our patrons and staff is our highest priority. Following the lead of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, who have strongly recommended the cancellation or postponement of gatherings of 250 or more people due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to cancel our upcoming screening of The Truth this Sunday March 15.

We will be issuing full refunds for all tickets purchased for this event.[…]
