The Chicago International Film Festival is very excited to welcome the writer, producer, and lead actress of Olympia, McKenzie Chinn. Featuring quirky animation and a revelatory central performance, Olympia is a heartfelt story for anyone who’s ever felt adrift on the rough seas of adulthood. Director Gregory Dixon, producer Sarah Sharp, and actor Charles Andrew Gardner are also scheduled to attend.

Mary Kay Place (The Big Chill, Big Love) delivers a stunning career-best performance as Diane, a woman weighed down by the simmering guilt of a past transgression. Now, after years of regret, Diane spends her days helping others and trying to save her drug-addled son. Variety called the film “a powerful meditation on guilt and loneliness.”
