The 54th Chicago International Film Festival, presented by Cinema/Chicago, today announced Tributes to actress Carey Mulligan in conjunction with this year’s Centerpiece film Wildlife, and costume designer Ruth Carter as part of the Festival’s annual Black Perspectives Program. Additionally, acclaimed director and Chicago native William Friedkin will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at a special tribute event during the Festival, including the North American premiere of the new documentary Friedkin Uncut.[…]

The 54th Chicago International Film Festival will be hosting the U.S. Premiere of Alberto García-Alix.The Shadow Line, an artfully crafted documentary that will double as an official EXPO ART WEEK program during EXPO CHICAGO, with filmmakers in person at the screening!
In advance of its screening at the 54th Chicago International Film Festival, Alberto García-Alix.The Shadow Line will be shown Friday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. at AMC River East 21 Theaters, 322 E. Illinois St., Chicago. Director Nicolás Combarro, along with the film’s producer and cinematographer Miguel Ángel Delgado, are scheduled to attend this premiere.[…]
