Festival Selections Win Big at the Golden Globe Awards

This weekend, Awards season officially began with the Golden Globes, the star-studded evening that honors the year’s best in film and television. We watched with pride as several Chicago International Film Festival selections won across several categories!

The Opening Night selection for the 52nd Chicago International Film Festival, La La Land broke the record for most Golden Globe wins, sweeping up seven honors including Best Song, Best Actor and Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Picture (Musical or Comedy) and more.[…]

Flicks at the Public: Monthly Film Series

The Associate Board of Cinema/Chicago is proud to announce their 2017 screening series, in partnership with the Public Hotel Chicago, Stella Artois and Wansas Tequila. Flicks at the Public presents screenings at The Public Hotel’s plush screening room featuring some of the most beloved classic films of recent memory. Proceeds from each event go directly to Cinema/Chicago’s Education Program that brings independent film to Chicagoland students.

For the 2017 series, the Associate Board presents monthly screenings in two four-film programs: Totally ‘90s and Batter Up!,
