Hot dogs, BBQ, burgers, coffee, and maple syrup will join quirky chefs and fussy foodies to tantalize your tastebuds through film at this year’s International Screenings Program at the Chicago Cultural Center, May 31-October 4. Now in it’s 14th edition, the International Screenings Program is a free weekly film series that casts a spotlight on a different country’s cinema each Wednesday evening.
Food and Film bring people together, whether around a candlelit table or a bbq pit or into a dark theater. This year’s program offers a smorgasbord of films showcasing culinary traditions from around the world. From films featuring the most unique (and delicious) Chicago hot dogs to real Italian cappuccinos, from South African diners to Japanese rice fields, you will leave the theater hungry for more. Join us for “A Taste of Cinema”!
